Keyan Zhao serves Life Technologies, a firm in San Francisco, California, as staff scientist in the bioinformatics department. Before accepting his present position, he worked in a postdoctoral capacity with the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics at the University of California, Los Angeles. During that time, Keyan Zhao affiliated as senior postdoctoral scholar with the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa. His responsibilities involved designing studies on matters linked to transcriptome data and the genetic architecture of placenta transcriptome.
Keyan Zhao has co-written several papers that have appeared in peer-reviewed publications. These include “Robust Statistical Model for Regulatory Variation of Alternative Splicing Using RNA-Seq Data,” for which he served as lead author and which appeared in the journal Genome Biology. He also contributed to several other scientific studies as lead author.
